Doggles do have some great eye-protective value. The first is an ultraviolet coating on the lens. Ultraviolet rays are the same rays that cause sunburn. Extended amounts of time in the glaring sun (for example, in the snow, or at the lake) can potentially damage your dog's eyes. Doggles fit right to your dog's face, so that no UV rays can get in from any angle. They also protect your dog's eyes from sand, debris and small insects on windy days at the beach or rides in the car with his face in the wind.

Dogs can generate a lot of heat on a sunny day, and this special eyewear also features anti-fogging lenses. Doggles aren't going to fog up on your dog and leave him disoriented.
Doggles are made out of polycarbonate, which is the shatterproof plastic used for CDs and bulletproof windows. Polycarbonate is a strong, bendable plastic that is more than able to handle any abuse that your dog or his travels might bring.
While they look like pro-sports goggles, Doggles actually feature two adjustable straps to hold them to your dog's head. There is the head strap and a chin strap. This way the Doggles remain affixed to your dog's face. Regular activity won't shake them loose. Doggles are slightly flexible and come with an extra wide nose bridge so that both eyes are fully covered and protected. In order to fit comfortably to your dog's face, Doggles have a comfortable foam padding between the glasses themselves and your dog's face.
Even though they look extremely cool, the bottom line is that Doggles are for the actual protection of your dog's eyes. With many different styles to choose from, there is probably one out there that is perfect for your pooch!
